HISTORY

History

With the Government’s thrust of “Education for All” which targets to expand the coverage of quality-assured EECD programs, the need for educational institutions catering to the preparatory years has also grown, not only as a result of this policy, but also as a consequence of population growth. For certain, government alone cannot, by itself, respond to this need in its entirety.

In Butuan City, the number of educational institutions has quickly grown, both in quality and quantity, as the City aggressively works toward development.  However, the change in the curriculum has multiplied the need for more schools that can supply quality and high-standard education especially geared towards the formative years of children along the ages three (3) to five (5) years old.

Additionally, there is a vacuum in the area of how to address excessiveness or deficits in student development as most schools are geared towards academic achievement but does not take account of other developmental needs.

Further, there is clamor for a school that is responsive to the needs of the times, that puts primary focus on developing children who can cope and excel in a highly competitive globalized community, a school that is not only bent on producing competent workers but targets honing future leaders who would lead the business, create opportunities for financial independence and prosperity to people of all ages.

In the end, it is not only the quantity that needs to be addressed. More importantly, a school that teaches children to take responsibility and positive initiatives in their lives that enable them to develop their own worthwhile philosophy and live a life of prosperity is what is of highest value in this time and age.
